First and foremost, Austin Lewter is a drummer. He sat behind his first kit at age 6 and the rest is history.
Growing up in the honky-tonks of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, Lewter first dawned a love for the Texas artist
of the time such as Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Robert Earl Keen as well as a great respect for the pioneers
such as Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran.
An extended tour of duty with Lil Jesse Moreno opened up a world of blues and soul to Austin's repitoire.
Classically trained at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Lewter is one of a handfull of drummers in the area that
can read as well.
After touring with various local rock bands and dancehall outifts, the phone rang in March of 2008 with
Kevin Deal on the other end of the line... Lewter could not turn down the job offer behind the kit playing for his band
Full Metal Racket.
